About the role

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer in Reactor Design, you play a key role in bringing our reactor systems to life. You will independently design and document high-precision mechanical assemblies, taking full ownership of defined work packages from concept through release.

You will ensure compliance with relevant standards while driving the seamless integration of critical subsystems—including vacuum, thermal, motion, and exhaust. Qualifications & Skills

· Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2–5 years of relevant experience

· Experience in sheet metal design and welded frame structures

· Basic knowledge of structural simulation interpretation and safety factor application

· Good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance stack-up

· Hands-on experience with 3D computer-aided design tools

· Advantage to be proficient in CREO/Pro-E and ERP systems such as SAP

· Familiarity with engineering standards and safety requirements

· Structured, analytical working style with strong ownership and teamwork mindset

· Fluent English (CEFR B2)

Responsibilities

·       Design and detail sheet metal parts and welded frame assemblies for standard applications

·       Create and maintain clear drawings, specifications and change documentation in English

·       Perform tolerance stack-ups and apply geometric dimensioning for assemblies and GD&T

·       Interpret finite element simulation results for seismic, transport and handling load cases and apply appropriate safety factors according to regional norms and document structural compliance

·       Apply structured problem solving methods for routine technical issues

·       Support risk assessments and drive mitigation actions within own scope

·       Support manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives 

• Manage changes and configurations in Product Lifecycle Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Contribute to prototype builds and support order-to-delivery engineering tasks
