Administrative and Patient Coordination:
- Handle patient billing, insurance claims, and daily sales updates.
- Pick up incoming phone calls and respond professionally to patient inquiries.
- Manage appointment bookings and confirmations, including rescheduling as needed.
- Update and maintain daily schedules for dentists and other clinic staff.
- Prepare and send emails to insurance companies; liaise with insurance providers
- Record and organize patient reports and treatment documentation.
- Liaise with dentists regarding patient care, appointments, and treatment plans.
- Communicate with dental laboratories on patient cases and timelines.
- Update doctors' notes and upload intraoral photos and records into the PLATO system.
- Respond to clinic emails professionally and promptly.
- Maintain records of supplier and lab invoices
- Monitor and record product stock levels and maintain display items at the front counter.
Clinic Operations and Housekeeping:
- Ensure the clinic, including common areas and equipment, is clean and well-maintained at all times. (Inform the cleaner
- Liaise with building security for parking arrangements and to resolve any facility issues.
- Collect and check the clinic's post box regularly.
- Receive and send materials, lab items, and clinic supplies as needed.
- Assist in closing and locking the clinic at the end of the day, including monitoring the autoclave when necessary.
Team Collaboration and Weekend Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with implant representatives according to appointment schedules.
- Take turns with other team members to hold the clinic phone on Sundays to handle patient inquiries and send reminders.
- Support colleagues with any urgent administrative or clinical needs.
Job description:
- Supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
- Performs procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
- Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Readies patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
- Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
- Assembles instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments.
- Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth.
- Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies and pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
- Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Working Days:
The position requires availability 6 days per week and 1 day off, including weekends, based on clinic operational needs.
Monday – Friday: 9am – 6pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9am – 5pm
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
