What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of working experience in quantity surveying.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior, lead, or supervisory QS role.
Experience in high-rise building, infrastructure, or mixed development projects will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction cost management, contract administration, procurement, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Familiar with construction contracts, tender documents, payment claims, and commercial reporting.
Good leadership, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of QS software such as Glodon, CostX, Buildsoft, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to maintain accurate commercial records.

Ensure projects are managed within approved budget and contract sum.
Submit monthly cost reports accurately and on time.
Complete valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts within the required timeline.
Identify and manage commercial risks effectively.

Responsibilities
Senior Quantity Surveyor
About the Role
M Summit Group is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Contract / Commercial team.
This role is suitable for a strong QS professional who is confident in handling project cost management, contract administration, procurement support, valuations, variations, final accounts, and commercial reporting.
The successful candidate will take the lead in managing commercial matters for assigned projects and provide guidance to the QS team to ensure all cost, contract, and procurement objectives are achieved within the approved budget, timeline, and company standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead commercial and cost management for assigned projects.
Prepare, review, and monitor project cost plans, budgets, and cost-to-complete reports.
Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial updates.
Review and certify subcontractor and supplier payment claims.
Manage valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Administer contracts from award stage until final account settlement.
Handle contract notices, extension of time claims, and loss-and-expense submissions.
Identify, assess, and manage commercial and contractual risks.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.
Support procurement activities, tender evaluation, cost comparison, and recommendation reports.
Lead, supervise, and guide Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors.
Monitor the quality and timeliness of QS deliverables.
Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for all contract and commercial matters.
