Full Time Sous Chef Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,200 in Catering Solutions Johor - Maukerja

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and managing daily kitchen activities.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor food production during service periods.
• Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.

Staff Supervision

• Supervise cooks, kitchen assistants, and other back-of-house staff.
• Train and mentor kitchen team members on cooking techniques and safety procedures.
• Prepare work schedules and assign duties.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.

Food Quality & Safety

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Conduct regular checks on food quality, freshness, and storage conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Implement and enforce HACCP and hygiene procedures where applicable.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor stock levels and place orders when required.
• Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.

Menu Development

• Support the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
• Suggest new dishes and seasonal menu items.
• Participate in food tasting and quality evaluations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
• 3–5+ years of kitchen experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.

Pay: From RM3,200.00 per month
