1. Will & Trust Drafting

• Draft, review, and finalize wills and trust documents in accordance with the Wills Act 1959 and relevant Malaysian laws

• Advise on appointment of executors, trustees, and guardians

• Ensure documents are legally sound and reflect client intentions

2. Estate Planning Advisory

• Provide legal advice on estate planning, asset distribution, and wealth succession

• Advise clients on probate, letters of administration, and distribution certificates

• Educate clients on intestacy laws and implications of dying without a will

3. Trust Management

• Draft and review trust deeds, including discretionary trusts, protective trusts, and charitable trusts

• Advise on trust administration, trustee duties, and beneficiary rights

• Ensure compliance with relevant trust laws and regulations

4. Legal Research & Compliance

• Conduct legal research on will, trust, and estate planning matters

• Stay updated on changes in probate laws, and inheritance laws

• Ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements

5. Client Consultation

• Conduct client interviews to understand asset portfolios and distribution wishes

• Explain complex legal concepts in simple, accessible language

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

6. Documentation & File Management

• Maintain accurate records of all wills, trusts, and related documents

• Ensure proper execution, witnessing, and safekeeping of legal documents

• Assist with will storage and retrieval processes

7. Collaboration & Support

• Support senior legal counsel in complex estate planning matters

• Collaborate with financial advisors, insurance agents, and tax consultants

• Assist in training junior staff or paralegals on will and trust matters
