Job Summary

Responsible for conducting internal compliance inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Review licences, records, and operational practices, identify non-compliance, monitor corrective actions, maintain compliance documentation, and support audits and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold regulatory and corporate compliance standards.

1. Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Quality Management or a related field.

2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in regulatory compliance, internal auditing, governance, ISO management systems, or EHS compliance will be an added advantage.

3. Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance, internal auditing and compliance verification methods.

4. Good observation, analytical, investigation and problem-identification skills.

5. Good report-writing, record-keeping and evidence documentation skills.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

7. Able to work independently, objectively and with minimum supervision.

8. Good communication and follow-up skills.

Tanggungjawab

1. Conduct internal compliance inspections and audits across company premises, operational sites and relevant departments to verify compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and company requirements.

2. Review workplace practices, operational activities, records and supporting documents to assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licences, permits, approvals and internal requirements.

3. Verify that regulatory requirements imposed by relevant authorities are properly implemented and maintained by responsible departments and sites.

4. Review licences, permits, approvals, certificates, registrations and statutory records to ensure they are valid, current, complete and properly maintained.

5. Conduct periodic compliance checks against requirements of relevant regulatory authorities, including DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, local authorities and other applicable government agencies.

6. Review compliance with conditions stipulated in licences, permits, approvals and regulatory correspondence issued by relevant authorities.

7. Identify non-compliance, regulatory gaps, incomplete records, expired documents, overdue actions and weaknesses in existing compliance controls.

8. Record audit and inspection findings with clear objective evidence, including photographs, documents, records and observations where applicable.

9. Prepare internal compliance audit and inspection reports detailing findings, observations, regulatory gaps and required corrective actions.

10. Issue compliance findings to the relevant department or responsible person for corrective action and follow-up.

11. Maintain and update the regulatory compliance findings tracker, including open, overdue, pending verification and closed findings.

12. Follow up on corrective actions submitted by responsible departments and verify the adequacy and effectiveness of actions taken before recommending closure.

13. Conduct follow-up inspections or verification audits to confirm that identified non-compliance has been effectively corrected.

14. Escalate significant, repeated or overdue non-compliance matters to the immediate supervisor or management for further action.

15. Verify that required statutory inspections, monitoring activities, regulatory submissions and reporting obligations have been completed within the required timeframe by the responsible personnel.

16. Review regulatory inspection findings, authority notices, warning letters, compounds and other official correspondence, and track the status of required corrective actions.

17. Monitor changes in applicable legal and regulatory requirements and highlight relevant changes to the immediate supervisor for further review and action.

18. Maintain and update the applicable Legal and Regulatory Register based on identified changes in laws, regulations and authority requirements.

19. Analyse recurring compliance findings and trends to identify systemic weaknesses, repeated non-compliance and areas requiring management attention.

20. Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and management reviews by providing verified compliance records and status updates where required.

21. Maintain confidentiality, independence, impartiality and objectivity when conducting compliance reviews and reporting findings.

22. Participate in Safety & Health Committee and Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities where required.

23. Perform 6S activities to maintain a clean, organised and healthy workplace.

24. Perform other tasks assigned by the superior.
