Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent with minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field.

Knowledge of port equipment, heavy machinery, or industrial maintenance is an advantage.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

A Finance Executive (GL) ensures the General Ledger is accurate and up to date. They handle postings, reconciliations, and financial reports, support month-end and year-end closing, prepare journal entries, and assist with audits and compliance. •

Prepare, review and post daily and monthly journal entries (e.g., accruals, prepayments, depreciation, adjustments) •

Ensure proper supporting documentation and approval for all journal entries •

Carry out month-end closing on schedule, prepare GL reconciliations, fix any discrepancies, and support year-end closing, including cut-off and balance roll-forward. •

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (bank, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany, prepayments) and promptly follow up to clear any outstanding items. •

Generate trial balance, profit & loss, and balance sheet reports, analyze variances against budget/forecast, and support management reporting with schedules. •

Ensure GL postings follow accounting standards (MFRS, IFRS) and company policies, liaise with auditors by providing supporting documents, and assist with tax schedules (deferred and current tax). •

Maintain the GL chart of accounts and mappings, improve GL processes for efficiency and control, and support system upgrades or ERP implementations.
