• Diploma, or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering Drafting, Building Design, Industrial Design, or related field.

• Professional certificate in AutoCAD, technical drafting, construction drawing, or related design software will be an added advantage

• 2 to 3 years of experience in CAD drafting, festive decoration, event production, exhibition, retail display, interior design, or related field.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software will be an added advantage.

• Able to prepare CAD drawings, layout plans, elevations, sections, and dimension drawings.

• Knowledge of BOM preparation will be an added advantage.

• Understanding of MDF, plywood, acrylic, laminate, metal hollow sections, printing materials, lighting boxes, props, and simple display structures will be an advantage.

• Willing to learn production workflow, material usage, site installation, dismantling, and safety requirements.

• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks within the given timeline.

• Detail-oriented, responsible, willing to learn, and able to accept feedback.

The CAD Designer is responsible for assisting in the preparation of basic CAD drawings, layout plans, technical drawing updates, Bill of Materials (BOM), and drawing documentation for the Company’s festive decoration, event, retail display, commercial activation, exhibition, and mall decoration projects.

This role supports the Senior CAD Designer and Design Team in preparing drawings for production, fabrication, procurement, and site execution.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing basic 2D CAD drawings, layout plans, elevations, sections, detail drawings, and production drawing updates.

• Convert sketches, 3D references, site measurements, and instructions into CAD drawings.

• Support the Senior CAD Designer in preparing drawings for carpentry, metal works, props, display structures, printing items, lighting boxes, and site installation.

• Assist in preparing BOM, including material type, size, quantity, finishing, and simple production requirements.

• Revise drawings and BOM based on comments from the Senior CAD Designer, Design Team, Project Team, Production Team, Procurement, or site team.

• Ensure drawings are properly scaled, clearly labelled, and saved according to company drawing standards.

• Maintain proper drawing files, revision records, BOM records, and documentation.

• Coordinate with designers and project team members to collect information needed for drawing and BOM preparation.

• Learn basic material knowledge, production methods, carpentry details, fabrication processes, installation requirements, and safety considerations.

• Apply basic safety awareness in drawings, including structure stability, sharp edges, access clearance, installation safety, dismantling safety, and public safety.

• Highlight unclear instructions, missing information, drawing issues, BOM discrepancies, or safety concerns to the Senior CAD Designer for clarification.

• Support project drawing preparation during urgent project timelines when required.

• Any other duties as assigned by the superior/ management to you from time to time.
