The job holder is responsible for managing 2 cafeterias with a current team size of 50. You must have strong operations and management skills, good knowledge of equipment and facility, strong admin skill and a passion to organise events.
Duties and responsibilities
Report directly to the Executive Director
Manage the day-to-day operations of 2 cafeterias, including overseeing personnel, ensuring that the facilities are properly maintained, taking steps to ensure customer satisfaction and overseeing the upkeep of administrative and financial records.
Create a year long engagement activity plan which are focused on Mainland Chinese festivals and trends; and to organise, coordinate and manage these events
Handle all marketing scopes including creating promotional materials like flyers, greeting cards, TikTok, videos, photos, promotional brochures etc to actively promote the activities of the cafeteria.
Ensure visual communications to promote food, services and events
Assume responsibility of budgeting and monitoring expenses of the cafeteria
Is responsible for the cafeterias inventory
Monitor and implement steps to manage and reduce food wastage.
Is responsible for the food safety and quality assurance
Ensure hazards and non-compliances are reported timely, and is responsible for the follow-up of corrective actions implementation.
Lead the team for internal and external audit preparation, and follow-up with post-audit action plans within the stipulated timelines.
Lead the team to provide excellent customer service
Support clients objectives in menu, nutrition, recipe and meals
Continuously review the cycle menu and provide feedback to the culinary team for improvement.
Handle customer complaints when necessary
Maintain a periodical equipment preventive maintenance calendar to prevent equipment breakdown and disruption to operations.
Close follow up on the equipment and facility repair to ensure that the issues are resolved in a timely manner
Close follow up on the procurement needs of the clients to ensure that the demands are closed in a timely manner
Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and evaluating staff
Ensure new joiners are inducted for the onboarding training
Ensure retraining programs are organised and toolbox meetings are conducted
Is responsible for the procurement process following the clients procurement standards
Ensure supplies and equipment are adequately in quantity and quality
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards
Ensure all records are kept properly and consistently
Review and prepare reports for senior management

PREREQUISITE - Must be proficient in the Chinese language, to read, write and speak Mandarin to serve Chinese customers
Prior experience in marketing and events management
Prior experience in F&B or hospitality
