Field Technician

Conduct sampling jobs as appointed by the company
• Ensuring sampling equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Ensure that all sampling information are well recorded.
• Ensure that all samples collected from site are preserved and delivered to the laboratory safely.
• Make necessary arrangement for sampling schedules, work with sales team to coordinate suitable schedules for both client and the company.
• Ensure that expenses for sampling jobs are kept within budget.
• To perform laboratory, work as and when required.
• Assiting the chemist in ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory.
• Ensuring that analytical procedures and associated tasks which he/she is responsible for are conducted in accordance with the ALS Quality Work Instructions including QA/QC;
• Organising designated tasks to maximize daily efficiencies;
• Ensuring that all tasks and analyses are performed within both the time set down by the supervisor and the relevant analysis standard;
• Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type and sample behavior to the Section Supervisor;
• Performing housekeeping duties as required;
• Calibrating equipment as required by the Section Supervisor and/or the QC Coordinator;
• Performing calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations;
• Controlling consumable stock required for the tasks performed;
