Our esteemed client, an Equipment rental and sales company, is searching for a Purchaser:
Job Responsibilities:
Source and procure construction equipment, spare parts, and materials according to company requirements.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier information, pricing, and lead times.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Evaluate supplier performance and build long-term relationships with key vendors.
Stay updated on market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers to support cost efficiency.
Handle any issues related to delivery delays, product quality, or supplier non-compliance.
Job Requirements:
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in equipment, machinery, or industrial sectors.
Good knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory control, and vendor management.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Additional Information:
Salary: Basic Up to SGD 3,000 +Variable Bonus
Working Location: Tuas (Company Pick Up Provided)
Working Hours: 5 days, Monday - Friday (8am - 5:30pm)
