Job Summary

You will be working with Tous Les Jours. They are a globally recognized French Asian bakery cafe famous for their high quality artisanal breads, pastries, and cakes. As a Baker, you are the heart of the kitchen, responsible for producing the fresh, premium goods that the brand is known for.

In this role, you will be based at one of their bustling outlets located in Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity, One Utama, Sunsuria Forum, Lalaport, or IOI City Mall. You will handle everything from preparing dough to decorating cakes, ensuring every item that leaves the oven meets strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Baking and Production

  • Prepare and bake a variety of items
    • Produce cakes, pastries, and special menu items according to established recipes
    • Handle cake decorating and finishing so that every product is visually appealing to customers
  • Ensure consistency and quality
    • Follow instructions closely and make adjustments when necessary
    • Monitor the entire baking process so that the taste, texture, and quality meet brand standards

Equipment and Kitchen Safety

  • Operate and maintain baking tools
    • Use ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and efficiently
    • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on all equipment so that the kitchen remains fully operational
  • Uphold sanitation standards
    • Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
    • Maintain a clean kitchen and bakery area so that food safety standards are strictly met

Inventory and Team Collaboration

  • Manage baking supplies
    • Keep track of the inventory for tools and supplies
    • Notify management and place orders when stock runs low so that production is never interrupted
  • Work as a unified team
    • Collaborate closely with decorators, packaging, and front of house staff
    • Participate in the creation of new products so that the bakery can offer exciting seasonal designs and recipes
