Adecco’s client, a global asset servicing organisation specialising in custody, transaction management, and fund operations, is seeking an Assistant Manager, Depository Operations to join their operations team. The role sits within a regional operations hub focusing on transaction management oversight, operational controls, stakeholder coordination, and team supervision within a fast-paced financial services environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support day-to-day transaction management and depository operations activities to ensure accurate and timely execution of processes
  • Perform quality checks and second-level validation on team outputs to maintain high operational accuracy and service quality
  • Monitor service delivery timelines and ensure adherence to agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Act as a key escalation point for operational issues, complex transactions, and process-related queries
  • Ensure escalation protocols are followed appropriately and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Support and coach junior team members while monitoring team productivity and performance
  • Assist with resource planning and workflow allocation to ensure operational efficiency and balanced team capacity
  • Identify operational risks, process gaps, or workflow challenges and implement corrective actions where required
  • Maintain strong process controls, operational procedures, and governance standards across the function


Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in transaction management, custody operations, depository services, or related financial services operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or Master’s) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of transaction management workflows, shareholder services, or custody operations
  • Experience working within fund structures, securities services, or investment operations environment is highly advantageous
  • Strong operational controls and procedural knowledge within financial services operations
  • Familiarity with transaction management systems such as E-Font, Caciopay, or equivalent platforms
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Exposure to automation tools such as VBA, Python, Macros, or related technologies is an added advantage
