Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in WP. Kuala Lumpur for a Transport Safety Officer & Driver Trainer. The role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards, providing safety training to drivers, conducting accident investigations, and recommending preventive measures. Additional responsibilities include implementing and monitoring occupational health strategies to maintain a safe working environment.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Health & Safety and Occupational Health standards and regulations.
  • Skills in Accident Investigation and ability to identify root causes to recommend effective preventative measures.
  • Knowledge and experience in Security measures to safeguard transport and logistics operations.
  • Experience in providing Safety Training to drivers and employees to ensure compliance and build awareness.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Relevant certifications in health and safety or transport management are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the transportation and logistics industry is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections for trucks, tankers, trailers, and transport equipment.
  • Monitor driver compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, speed limits, and defensive driving practices.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, including preparation of investigation reports and corrective actions.
