Job Summary
As a Safety & Health Supervisor you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing workplace safety and health policies to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards in CEPCO. This role focuses on preventing accidents, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees within the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of production areas, machinery, and work activities to identify unsafe acts/conditions and take immediate corrective action; report findings to the Factory Manager and SHO
- Enforce compliance with safety procedures, SOPs, legal requirements, and proper use of PPE
- Assist in implementation and review of HIRARC, SOP, and Safe Work Instructions (SWI); recommend improvements to reduce risks
- Monitor and enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) and ensure all high-risk activities are carried out safely
- Report and assist in investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses; support corrective actions
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and support induction training for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Support emergency preparedness including fire drills, training, and ensuring emergency equipment is available and in good condition
- Maintain safety documentation and prepare monthly safety reports for SHO
- Support audits and inspections (DOSH and ISO) and ensure compliance with requirements
- Monitor housekeeping, environmental practices, and assist SHO in workplace safety and health monitoring
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Health, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-5 years of working experience in manufacturing or industrial safety environment.
- Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) certification is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, machinery safety, and permit-to-work systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and support shift or weekend operations when required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.
