Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial functions for interior fit-out projects. This role requires strong expertise in budgeting, contract administration, and procurement, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and high-quality standards across Southeast Asia.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project costing, budget planning, and financial analysis for management review
  • Prepare BOQ, tender documents, and oversee full tendering process
  • Manage cost estimation, progress claims, and project cash flow
  • Administer contracts including Variation Orders (VO) and Extension of Time (EOT)
  • Oversee procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors
  • Review drawings, specifications, and material sourcing for cost optimization
  • Manage supplier selection, tender evaluation, and contract awards
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract terms, and ethical standards
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Drive cost control strategies to achieve targeted profit margins
  • Collaborate closely with design, project, and business development teams
  • Handle stakeholder communication and support commercial decision-making
  • Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by management


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in quantity surveying (interior fit-out / construction preferred)
  • Strong experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration
  • Proven track record managing commercial and corporate interior projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD / Revit is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Able to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in handling contracts and finances
  • Willing to travel for project site visits within Malaysia
