Responsibilities

• Write, edit and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (Mastercam) for milling operations

• Generate and verify toolpaths for 3-axis and 3+1 axis machining applications

• Review engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to determine appropriate machining strategies, tooling selection and cutting parameters

• Conduct program prove-outs and first article runs, making adjustments to achieve dimensional compliance

• Work closely with machinists to resolve machining issues and improve cycle times

• Maintain organised program libraries and revision records

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve surface finish and shorten cycle times

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in precision engineering, tooling, or fixture manufacturing

• Proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software

• Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining best practices

• Experience programming for Fanuc or Mitsubishi CNC controls is an advantage

• Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field is an advantage
