The internship will provide hands-on training and experience in various Finance day to day operations, accounting system and year-end audit. The internship will also provide the opportunity to gain direct experience in the social and commercial aspects of financial management in the philanthropic sector.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director (Finance), the Intern (Finance) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Processing of vendor invoices and payments
• Assist in the verification of travel and expenses claims
• Assist in system implementation and enhancement initiatives
• Assist in reconciliation between system and documents, and ensuring adherence to finance policies and procedures
• Assist in preparation of annual budgeting
• Assist in monthly closing, reporting and year-end audit

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy
• Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
• Comfortable working with large data
• Excellent in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously but part of a small team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
