MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

The main duty of the technician is to install and repair fiber optic cables

• Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems, ensuring that they work properly.
• Examine and replace faulty and/or old fiber optic cables.
• Organize scheduled maintenance routines.
• Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas.
• Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections, so that a faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance.
• Work closely with project teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field in Telecommunication.
• Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) and Certified Fiber Optics Specialist (CFOS) would be an advantage for this position.
• Proven experiences of experience as a Fiber Optic Technician or in a related role.
• Familiarity with fiber optic testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
