Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Oracle Database Administrator based in Petaling Jaya. The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting Oracle database environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades. The role involves ensuring database security, implementing replication strategies, troubleshooting performance issues, and maintaining database stability and availability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal database functionality is also a key component of this position.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration and general Database Administration practices
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Database Replication processes
• Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting database issues and ensuring performance optimization
• Knowledge of Database Security best practices and implementation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to database maintenance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with other database technologies (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, MySQL) is an advantage
• At least 3 - 4 years experience handling Oracle Database
