The A/SA will assist with tax compliance matters for Temasek’s legal entities globally including preparation of income tax returns and indirect tax returns. Initially, the A/SA will focus mainly on US tax compliance while also serving as a general global resource.
The A/SA will assist with tax research, locating information to respond to queries from tax authorities, tracking of tax compliance submission deadlines and following up with accountants for tax information.
The A/SA will also assist in coordinating the provision of tax information to external service providers.
The A/SA may also be required to assist the team with other tax audits and review documentation relating to investments.
- To assist with the preparation of income tax returns and indirect tax returns;
- To work closely with respective accountants for information for tax submissions and queries;
- To coordinate the provision of tax information to external service providers as well as tax authorities;
- To assist with obtaining tax information for tax reporting purposes;
- To assist with research for new jurisdictions and responding to tax queries from management and local tax authorities;
- To obtain information for ad hoc tax presentations to management;
- To maintain tax databases and assist with roll out of tax technology innovation
- Good accounting degree, CPA or similar country qualifications including info tech qualifications considered;
- Knowledge of Python, RPA (UiPath, Power Automate), Power BI, GenAI copilot and other similar automation and analytics tools will have distinct advantage
- For Associate level, new graduate or up to 2 years of tax experience in the financial industry and/or any of the Big Four accounting firms;
- For Senior Associate level, minimum 3 years of tax experience in the financial industry and/or any of the Big Four accounting firms and good knowledge of Singapore tax compliance;
- Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines;
- Strong attention to detail, documentation and organisation skills;
- Willingness and ability for continuous learning.
