Scope of Work:

As a Nurse Educator at Jamiyah Nursing Home, you will play a critical role in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and clinical competencies of the nursing and care staff. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational and training programs that meet regulatory standards and organizational needs. Your work contributes directly to the delivery of safe, high-quality care for residents, and supports a culture of continuous professional development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement structured orientation and onboarding programmes for new nursing staff.
• Develop and deliver continuing education and in-service training aligned with current nursing best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Assess staff competencies and clinical skills through evaluations, simulations, and practical workshops.
• Lead skills enhancement programmes in core areas such as wound care, infection control, medication administration, and emergency response.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address performance gaps and support clinical improvement initiatives.
• Create and oversee mentorship and preceptorship frameworks for new and junior nurses.
• Maintain training records and prepare reports for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Work closely with external education providers and clinical partners to facilitate learning opportunities and knowledge sharing.
• Conduct post-training evaluations and feedback sessions to ensure training effectiveness.
• Support emergency preparedness and health and safety training efforts.
• Additional adhoc duties given by the higher management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with valid SNB licensure.
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in an education or training role, preferably in long term care or a nursing home setting.
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices, healthcare regulations, and adult learning principles.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, instructional design, and clinical teaching.
• Competent in using training tools, e-learning platforms, and multimedia resources.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
