JD: Sales Specialist (IT - Retail)
Main accountabilities
• Responsible for developing new pipelines & accounts in retail industry especially chain stores to meet sales targets by selling Store Front solutions (POS system, Loyalty system, Customer Counting System, etc.), HQ Enterprise Solutions (ERP and WMS) and IT infrastructure & security.
• Responsible to develop the strategies to develop new accounts in meeting the sales targets and KPI.
• Champion sales strategies and execution in line with Marketing Funnel Business Model(s) for the Division.
• Leads the sales process and utilize all available resources to develop the new pipelines and customers.
• Responsible for accurate and consistent monthly sales forecasting.
• Responsible in preparing quotation with costing, proposal and internal documentation.
• Maintaining the pipelines constantly via Global Pipelines Management CRM system with monthly forecasting.
• Understand the customers’ business and solution requirements and drive sales by positioning of NEC value propositions
Business Development & Pipelining
· Develop new accounts and sales leads, whether from company or through own initiative and contacts.
• Formulate and implement Business Development plans aligned with NEC’s strategy.
• Maximize revenue from each client. Identify and qualify opportunities of cross-selling and up-selling through customer interfacing, phone prospecting and solicitation. Pitch NEC Solutions into new customers/pipeline.
• Develop constant awareness of customer needs, influencers, buying patterns/motives, objections and expectations.
• Ensure client’s requirements and expectations are managed and met.
• Ensure appropriate resources are aligned, follow-up meetings are scheduled and solution plans are in place.
• Leverage on potential networks/external stakeholders available for new business areas by participating in industry networking.
Qualification:
• At least 5 years’ experience in IT application/solution sales or business development roles in retail (preferable) or enterprise industry.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience in asking open-ended questions and skilled in up/cross-selling techniques
• Presentation skills / experience
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent communication skills as well as good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Able to work in a team and sometimes independently.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Good knowledge of Application Solution such as POS System, Loyalty System, ERP System, Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Awareness in competitive solutions knowledge.
• Experience in selling IT solutions in retail industry is an added advantage.
• Should have a strong experience/knowledge in business application solution selling, working in service provider, system Integrator type organizations or consulting company or professional services.
