Role Description

• To assist production manager, lead and manage the production department with multi-discipline direct reports towards achieving company’s objectives and targets.

• Critically review and monitor operating results and to specifically update and recommend to Management on issues affecting Quality and Profitability.

• Plan, organize and lead the factory team to achieve the agreed objectives (safety, environment, quality, cost and services); proactive drive focused improvement.

• Follow all factory safety regulations accordingly and ensure that staffs are trained to abide by these safety requirements. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all times.

• Instil amongst all employees Company’s Vision, Mission, Culture and Quality objectives.

• Align team to plan such as Daily Output, Line of balance, WIP, inventory, priority list and material tracking.

• Production planning and Execution to ensure full utilization of factory capacity with maximum efficiency 

• Monitor overall production output, quality specification, update SOP & WI, QC and packing to meet customer requirements.

• Constantly look into improving of yield, productivity and efficiency, reducing rejects, waste and downtime. 

• Review the daily, weekly & monthly production report performance & analyse. Communicate with all level of people to make improvement

• To manage and monitor operator performance and disciplinary issues such as absenteeism, lateness, frequent emergency leave, tardiness issues etc.

• Ensure compliance with company, quality, and Safety & Health regulations.

• To assist Production Manager to create Master Quality Plan

• Employee engagement to generate ideas toward continuous improvement

• To execute any other job responsibilities as and when required by the superior or any other persons designated by the Company.

• Responsible for overall production activities in production department with ensure maximize production output, minimize waste and practising good manufacturing practises.

Qualifications

• Min Degree in Management or relevant manufacturing working experience.

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Managerial level.

• Hands on experience in managing of the large production operation in manufacturing company.

• Experience in Process Control, Preventive Maintenance and Kaizen working environment.

• Ability to communicate and write in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Knowledge in basic engineering knowledge.

• To provide training and guidance to all subordinates for ensuring continuous improvement.

• Systematic and positive problem-solving approach.

• Able to work independently and work under pressure.

• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with other staff.
