RESPONSIBILITIES

• To conduct tests for both NPI (New Product Introduction) & CPE (Current Product Engineering) programs . T
• Test scope include: -
  • EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), Environmental & Mechanical, Electrical & Connectivity tests in validating on new product design robustness.
• To works with engineers & test engineers in the setup, testing, debugging and troubleshooting of new & existing equipment and products, cum printer teardown & retrofitting
• To maintain and troubleshoot equipment/systems requiring extensive electro-mechanical & software experience
• To read/interpret electronics, mechanical drawings, schematics, printouts, specifications and test procedures.
• To create new test programs/procedures as needed for new technologies, and to maintain & improve existing test documentation & procedures
• To complete work and general instructions for assignments
• To work with Hardware Test Engineers on: -
• • prioritization of all test requests should there be facility constraints to test support resources
  • supporting test lab tools, processes, systems & fixturing
  • Coordinates and facilitates test setup with test vendors to ensure testing is up and running with respect to the appropriate infrastructure, processes, customized fixturing, and test tools/systems/test & measurement equipment.
  • Ability to rework, repair and upgrade various firmware and hardware in printers that may stop running. And to support R&D on rework if necessary
  • Modify test plans and updates test schedule when needed
  • Implement test plans according to specific guidelines and procedures & project assignments with limited supervision
  • Required to assist in the training of 3rd party test houses and ensure they are following test plans, guidelines, processes and procedures
• Oversees & lab operation & execution & escalate to hardware Engineer for any deficiencies, delay and bottlenecks
• Provide feedback directly to HW Engineers for any test discrepancies, suggest improvements
• Document and report test results, dashboard & test progress based on pre-aligned report frequency. With predetermined spreadsheet or applicable database and release them to the required stakeholder communities and follow up issues for understanding and fixing them.
• Should be flexible to project assignments and being able to float from one project to another maintaining test efficiency
• Verify data collection from test vendors is accurate & complete. Such as test results, such as log files, screen shots, photo, video, sound clips or physical samples, assists in characterizing defect/error and finding confirmation/validation
• Ability to hear abnormal or distinct sounds/noises from the test units and have correctable vision to observe product and printed output defects.
• Responsible for proper & timely report documentation & archiving upon test completion
• Work with logistics on transportation, storage & disposal of samples & consumables within or outside test vendor premises, in accordance to LES IP security guidelines
• To ensure instruments are calibrated and verified on a regular basis

QUALIFICATIONS

• ITE/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Computer, or IT Engineering
• Fresh graduates with some level of working experience are welcome
• Proficient in English, both written and oral, with good judgment and decision-making skill
• Proactive, punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
• Customer-oriented mindset to help constantly improve test processes and efficiency
• Good proficiency with PC hardware and software installation, including Windows and MS Office (Excel, Pivot Table, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Fast learner in acquiring related HW Test knowledge and using HP tools (Quartz, Print files generation, serial log, etc.)
• Familiar with test and measurement equipment, with good soldering skills for board rework when requested
• Exhibits good planning, organizing, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Able to complete work independently with minimal supervision, and occasionally complete assignments without established written procedures
• Ability to understand, comprehend, and provide feedback on EE schematics, drawings, and written EE test plans provided by Engineers
• May require to work in an enclosed environmental chamber up to temperature range from 0 to 45 deg C, & humidity range from 20% to 80% relative humidity
