We’re Hiring: Assistant Vice President – Project Management Unit (PMU)

Join Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) as an Assistant Vice President – Project Management Unit (PMU) and play a key role in shaping structured, high-impact transformation journeys for our client companies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Transformation & Consulting
- Conduct enterprise diagnostics covering business models, processes, and organisational capabilities.
- Co-develop future-state operating models, process improvements, and digital enablement strategies.
- Develop transformation roadmaps, business cases, and value assessments.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and change management activities.
- Build KPIs, monitoring tools, and conduct post-implementation reviews.
- Contribute to BASD’s consulting frameworks, methodologies, and knowledge assets.
2. Project Planning & Coordination
- Support the Head of BASD in developing implementation plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure smooth execution of advisory and transformation initiatives.
- Maintain detailed documentation including Gantt charts, risk registers, and milestone reports.
- Facilitate kick-offs, workshops, and progress meetings across stakeholders.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Governance
- Maintain project dashboards tracking deliverables, KPIs, and resource utilization.
- Ensure adherence to MTDC’s governance framework, reporting standards, and audit requirements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports for management.
- Identify risks and support mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
4. Stakeholder & Client Coordination
- Liaise closely with TEDBD divisions, ecosystem partners, consultants, and client companies.
- Prepare communication materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure clear and consistent engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Consolidate project data into departmental dashboards and management reports.
- Support corporate-level documentation, presentations, and board submissions.
- Maintain audit-ready records and documentation standards.
6. Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement
- Document lessons learned and best practices from transformation projects.
- Develop reusable tools, templates, and playbooks to enhance delivery excellence.
- Participate in internal capability-building and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Economics, or a relevant field.
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) or Change Management (Prosci, Kotter) is an advantage.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in business transformation, project management, or advisory roles.
- Strong analytical, consulting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, scheduling, and performance tracking.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, preferably in consulting or advisory environments.
