We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is qualified with at least a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Has experience in accounting/finance and administrative roles, ideally within a startup, retail, or e-commerce environment.
  • Is proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  • Is highly organised, meticulous, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced setting, with the ability to efficiently manage ad-hoc tasks and maintain precise record-keeping.
  • Is a strong communicator, proactive problem-solver, and comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Has legal work rights in Malaysia.

Kualesa is an eco-friendly apparel brand specialising in high-quality garments, primarily crafted from bamboo. We are committed to sustainability, comfort, and a unique aesthetic that blends style with environmental consciousness. As we are primarily selling online, we are currently looking to expand our distribution presence across offline channels and through corporates.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily financial and operational activities at Kualesa. The individual will manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and provide crucial administrative support, working efficiently across departments to facilitate seamless company operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Day-to-Day Finance Operations: Oversee accounts, process transactions (including payroll, claims), general bookkeeping tasks (reconcile statements, and maintain accurate financial records). Assist in preparing financial reports, managing expenses, and supporting tax compliance. Primary contact point for annual audit and tax filings.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide crucial administrative support, including office management, partner coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This includes developing and maintaining a comprehensive, organised filing system for all invoices, documents, and records.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting forecasts, procurement, HR processes (onboarding, record maintenance), and organising team events to foster our unique company culture.
