Commissioning & Operation Engineer
Job Summary
Lead and execute commissioning and operational activities for projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements. Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver comprehensive documentation.
Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning activities following approved plans, project specifications, and safety standards to ensure successful project startup
- Develop and implement safety procedures, operating procedures, and project execution standards to maintain compliance and operational excellence
- Monitor and report project progress to ensure commissioning milestones are met on schedule
- Prepare and review commissioning plans, procedures, method statements, and operation and maintenance manuals to support project execution
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth commissioning and operational workflows
- Participate in daily coordination meetings to provide updates and align on commissioning activities and project status
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during commissioning and operation to minimize downtime and maintain safety
- Ensure continuous compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), quality, and regulatory requirements throughout commissioning and operation
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, progress updates, and final documentation to support project closeout and knowledge transfer
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commissioning and operation, preferably in a power plant or EPC projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and commissioning documents
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and site coordination requirements
