Role Description
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute integrated sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and key accounts in Malaysia.
- Drive pipeline management, forecasting, and conversion performance.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong client and distributor relationships
2. Distribution Management
- Develop and implement effective distribution strategies across Malaysia (modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, distributors).
- Appoint, manage, and evaluate distributors, agents, and channel partners.
- Monitor distribution coverage, stock movement, and inventory levels.
- Ensure efficient supply chain coordination with internal teams.
- Expand market reach into new territories and channels.
3. Marketing Strategy & Brand Development
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, offline, retail).
- Lead product positioning, branding, and go-to-market strategies.
- Analyze consumer trends and competitor activity in Malaysia.
- Manage digital channels including social media and e-commerce platforms.
4. Event Management & Budget Control
- Plan, organize, and execute corporate events, brand activations, and product launches.
- Create and manage budgets for events and client-related activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor and control event expenditures to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
- Prepare detailed budget reports and present to Directors.
- Evaluate financial and operational performance of events and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
5. Licensing & Compliance
- Manage all licensing requirements relevant to marketing, events, promotions, and business operations in Malaysia.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, advertising standards, and industry guidelines.
- Liaise with government authorities, councils, and regulatory bodies where required.
- Monitor updates to Malaysian regulations impacting marketing and commercial activities.
6. Public Relations & Corporate Communications
- Develop, manage, and execute PR communication strategies to enhance company branding.
- Plan and manage budgets for PR events, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Oversee copywriting, key visuals, and communication materials to ensure brand consistency.
- Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, product launches, and media activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, agencies, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and manage corporate announcements, press releases, and news articles across platforms.
- Monitor and compile media coverage and industry trends related to the company.
- Track regional and international news to leverage branding opportunities.
- Lead crisis communication and manage reputational issues effectively.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal departments (operations, finance, product).
- Manage external stakeholders including agencies, event partners, and media.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking sessions.
Qualifications
- Experience at least 10 - 15 years and above in sales marketing or related field
- Proven expertise in Sales Strategy and Business Development
- Experience in Digital Marketing, Campaign Management, and Content Promotion
- Strong skills in Data Analysis, Market Research, and Consumer Insights
- Exceptional Communication, Negotiation, and Leadership abilities
- Ability to lead teams, develop talent, and work collaboratively in an on-site setting
- Familiarity with the content and education industry is a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to meet ambitious sales targets and drive measurable growth
