Kerja Sepenuh Masa, LEAD DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR di Within Earth Federal Territory - Maukerja

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and operate our database platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server. The role includes ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of on-premise systems, along with supporting NoSQL databases and modern backup strategies across on-prem and cloud environments. This role requires the ability to work independently as an individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and other database systems across environments
2. Design and manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions
3. Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies (on-premise and cloud-integrated)
4. Perform and regularly validate disaster recovery testing
5. Monitor and optimize database performance (queries, indexing, execution plans)
6. Plan capacity, storage, and scalability of database systems
7. Apply patches, upgrades, and manage version control
8. Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution
9. Collaborate with development teams on database design and performance tuning
10. Automate routine DBA tasks (maintenance, monitoring, alerting)
11. Manage releases across development, test, and production environments
12. Maintain operational and recovery documentation
13. Participate in on-call support for critical systems

Required Skills & Experience

1. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (on-premise)
2. Proven expertise in:

• High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Failover Clustering, Availability Groups, DR testing)
• Backup and recovery strategies, including on-prem and cloud-based backups
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Redis (administration, basic performance tuning, and troubleshooting)
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and query optimization
• Database monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SSMS, DMVs, Extended Events)
• Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar)
• Managing production-critical environments

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with other relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch)
2. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for backup storage and DR scenarios
3. Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD for database deployments)
4. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools

Salary range: RM 9,000 – RM 12,000 per month
