JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a hands-on and results-driven Project Manager to oversee outlet development and retail expansion projects for NSK Grocer. This role will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including new store openings, renovations, fit-out coordination, operational improvement projects, and ensuring stores are launched smoothly within timeline and budget.

Candidates with strong Assistant Manager experience in project coordination, retail development, fit-out, construction, or operations are encouraged to apply.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced retail environments, cross-functional coordination, and seeing projects come to life from planning to execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from planning, execution, monitoring, and project completion
  • Coordinate outlet opening projects, renovations, relocations, and operational enhancement initiatives
  • Develop project timelines, work schedules, budgets, and resource planning
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion and operational readiness
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk evaluations for new projects

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with internal departments including Operations, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing, IT, and HR to ensure smooth project execution
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, mall management, and external stakeholders
  • Act as the main point of contact for project-related matters and ensure proper communication across all parties
  • Ensure all deliverables meet company standards, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance

Store Opening & Renovation Management

  • Oversee new outlet openings from pre-opening preparation to launch
  • Manage renovation and fit-out works while minimizing operational disruption
  • Ensure store layouts, customer flow, and operational setup align with business needs and customer experience goals
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and work progress

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage project budgets and control costs effectively
  • Track expenses, project performance, and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved budget and timeline

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans proactively
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and operational regulations
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to management

Post-Project Review

  • Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement
  • Implement lessons learned to improve future project execution

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Retail Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3–10 years of relevant experience in project management, retail expansion, fit-out, renovation, construction, or operations
  • Candidates with Assistant Manager experience and strong project coordination exposure are welcome to apply
  • Experience in supermarket, retail chain, F&B, or commercial outlet projects will be an added advantage
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of budgeting, project tracking, and resource management
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willing to travel for site visits and project coordination

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is an added advantage
  • Experience in procurement, contract negotiation, or retail fit-out projects
  • Knowledge of sustainability or energy-efficient initiatives is a plus

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Full-time position
  • Frequent travelling within Klang Valley and outlet locations
  • Flexible working hours may be required depending on project timelines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
