Job Summary

You will remove, apply, and repair ceramic tiles and similar solid materials on floors, walls, and ceilings. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply adhesives and cements, lay bricks or blocks, and install safety features to ensure durable and safe finishes.

Responsibilities

·                    Remove ceramic tiles and similar materials from floors, walls, and ceilings safely and efficiently

·                    Apply and repair ceramic tiles and similar solid materials to floors, walls, and ceilings to meet quality standards

·                    Follow materials and workmanship schedules tonsure timely and accurate completion of tasks

·                    Lay bricks or blocks accurately to build or repair structures

·                    Mix and apply glues, cements, and grouts to bond materials securely

·                    Prepare cement floors, sidewalks, stairs, and curbing to create stable, level surfaces

·                    Install grout for new and existing door jambs tonsure proper sealing and finish

·                    Apply non-skid surfaces and safety strips to enhance floor safety

·                    Prepare flooring surfaces thoroughly for the installation of floor coverings

·                    Prepare and mix different types of raw materials to produce plaster ready for application

·                    Hang pictures, paper towel holders, sharps dispensers, and soap dispensers securely on walls

·                    Make repairs to plaster, sheetrock, and masonry surfaces in preparation for painting

·                    Repair plaster and lay bricks and blocks to maintain structural integrity

·                    Remove waste and debris daily and arrange for removal upon completion of work to maintain a clean and safe work environment
