Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts for operating entities, including project accounting (minimum 3 years of relevant experience required).
- Perform accurate data entry and management in the accounting system, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), payments, and receipts.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to the corporate office in compliance with group accounting policies and external reporting requirements.
- Ensure finance and accounting functions comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and maintain proper accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly management reports together with supporting schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including budget and forecast. Budget vs Actual variance analysis and follow-up on significant variances.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, tax authorities, and government agencies when required.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to executive management.
- Handle daily office administration duties, including purchasing office/pantry supplies, attending to visitors, coordinating insurance matters, and liaising with company secretary on administrative and statutory documentation
- Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRE:
- Minimum Diploma in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity.
- Good understanding of project accounting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Able to work under pressure with high level of accuracy, integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Possess good personality with strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
