We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Executive to support financial operations, including invoicing, cash flow management, and compliance, while contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function.
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Executive to manage the company’s full set of accounts and oversee complete Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting. The candidate will be responsible for handling General Ledger (GL), financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, and ensuring accurate accounting records in compliance with accounting standards and Malaysian regulations.
Arrangements: 1 Year contract convertable to permanent based on performance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years experience
Able to speak and write English
Proven experience handling full set of accounts
Strong mathematical and numerical skills with high accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, SQL, or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to start immediately
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Accounting (Full Set of Accounts)
Handling full set of accounts (including journal entries, general ledger and reconciliations)
Process vendor payments, staff claims, and petty cash
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Handle full spectrum of accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, and financial reporting)
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
Prepare trial balance, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets
2. General Ledger (GL)
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Prepare journal entries and adjustments
Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis
Support audit processes and financial reporting
3. Profit & Loss (P&L) Management
Be fully responsible for the company’s P&L reporting and monitoring
Analyze financial performance and identify variances
Support management with financial insights and reporting
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Support
Assist in managing daily cash flow activities
Support preparation of cash flow forecasts and variance tracking
Liaise with banks on basic transactions and reconciliations
5. Taxation & Compliance
Support corporate tax activities, including basic cross-border transactions and withholding tax matters
Assist in ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax regulations and relevant international requirements
Work with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and reporting
