Role Summary

Kinesso is currently seeking a talented intern for Software Engineering to join our 2025 Internship Program in Petaling Jaya. Our internship positions are designed to mimic full-time, entry, analyst/assistant level roles. In these roles, interns will gain applicable industry knowledge within a collaborative environment while building professional skills and general business acumen. Specifically, the Intern in Software Development will work directly with Data and Technology team to assist with their day-to-day responsibilities, as well as ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Software Development team in bringing visual ideas and concepts to life.
• Collaborate with third party vendors on development efforts, and take a project from concept to design, development, release, and maintenance.

Requirements

• A minimum 6-month commitment
• Sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming
• Experience on using 4th generation programming language on either: Java, Python, TypeScript or JavaScript
• Understand SQL concepts and experience on either: Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, SQL Lite
• Familiar with Unix/Linux OS
• Understand the important of unit testing and source code control

Bonus – Any of the following is a plus

• Freelancing experiences
• Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
• Front-end JavaScript chops: Angular, React.js, Vue.js and etc.
• SpringBoot or Django
• HTML and CSS wizard
• Strong Math, ie: Statistic and linear algebra
