Responsibilities
- Drive the deployment, sustainability and business utility of SmartReM across DSC APAC, ensuring the digital suite is not just installed but actively used to manage labour and service.
- Develop and maintain country-by-country SmartReM roadmaps; track build and run progress against detailed deployment plans.
- Collaborate with the global SmartReM CoE and other regions to refine functionality, reporting and integration features; represent APAC requirements in global forums.
- Build and continuously develop the regional and country OMS Engineering capability (build and run); define role architecture, capability matrices and grading;
- Provide regional materials, training and change concepts (aligned to the global standard) and adapt them for APAC operational and cultural realities.
- Establish governance for cross-functional collaboration between Operations, OE, IT, HR and the global CoE; resolve conflicts on data ownership, access and master-data management.
- Drive the OMS FC connection — ensuring SmartReM is embedded in the day-to-day way of working on site, not parallel to it.
- Define and run a consistent regional support model for all SmartReM applications, including issue triage, root-cause analysis and CRI tracking.
- Drive standardisation and centralisation of master-data management (users, access rights, operational activities, job codes) in conjunction with HR and IT.
- Provide continuous regional visibility on SmartReM deployment progress and quality; surface risk early and initiate corrections without waiting for escalation.
- Enforce data integrity standards, audit configuration against physical operations, and flag sites operating without decision-useful data.
- Own the regional SmartProductivity policy: SPR-setting standards, job-code design rules, direct/indirect classification, and Dynamic Target deployment criteria.
- Drive the integration of SmartProductivity with WMS platforms (Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SCALE and customer-owned WMS where applicable); identify and prioritise WMS conversion opportunities where business case supports it.
- Lead the The Way Forward (including the System & Data Validation) programme regionally — ensuring job-code mapping, timestamp accuracy and SPR alignment to physical processes are validated before sites are considered operationally mature.
- Maintain the regional SPR governance model: lean, time-study-based standards as the default; Dynamic Targets where RF capture and system-directed work are both present; engineered targets only where the maintenance overhead is justified.
- Provide regional analytical support to identify productivity detractors, dispersion patterns and CI evidence (e.g. direct-hour reduction by job code).
- Own the regional standard for SmartPlan: demand-to-staffing logic, validated forecasting inputs, plan-versus-actual review cadence.
- Ensure operations are trained to interpret and adjust the plan rather than treat it as a static output.
- Drive labour-sharing, overtime-reduction and shift-pattern optimisation programmes anchored on SmartPlan outputs.
- Support the broader OE agenda in APAC beyond SmartRem, ensuring lean, system-directed warehouse operations are the regional default.
- Contribute to System-directed operations especially support in building organisational capability and organisational blueprint.
- Drive Dynamic Targets, Engineered-target methodology where applicable.
- Run the regional OMS Engineering architecture for the OMS transformation programme: role design, grading, capability matrices, organisational placement
- Establish and run a structured weekly review cadence with country and cluster OMS Engineers and 2026Q4 capability assessments.
