Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Singapore

Job Responsibilities:

Operational & Business Leadership

• Lead and oversee day-to-day business and operational functions for the Singapore entity.

• Drive operational efficiencies, process harmonization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and regional teams to support organizational growth and strategic objectives.

• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives to optimize cost and business performance.

• Support strategic collaborations, partnerships, and operational expansion initiatives.

Laboratory Operations

• Ensure laboratory operations comply with all accreditation standards, MOH regulations, SOPs, and quality requirements.

• Work closely with laboratory leadership teams to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

• Standardize laboratory systems and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across operations.

• Develop and monitor operational metrics and benchmarking initiatives for laboratory performance.

• Support laboratory managers and business teams on operational and process-related matters.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Oversee quality management systems and internal audit processes across the organization.

• Drive audit preparedness across operations and laboratories, ensuring successful outcomes during MOH inspections and regulatory assessments.

• Support accreditation and regulatory initiatives to ensure timely compliance with local and international standards.

• Develop and monitor quality performance metrics and benchmarking frameworks.

• Ensure implementation and continuous adherence to quality, regulatory, and operational compliance standards.

• Oversee facility operations to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.

• Partner with facilities and quality teams to maintain adherence to relevant safety, accreditation, and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

• MBA or postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with significant exposure in business operations and leadership roles.

• Prior experience managing healthcare, laboratory, biotechnology, or regulated service operations preferred.

Strong hands-on experience in handling MOH audits, regulatory inspections, and healthcare compliance requirements in Singapore is highly preferred.

Proven experience in operational management, process improvement, and stakeholder management.
