Role Overview:

Overseas Industries Sdn Bhd, situated in the dynamic Kawasan Perindustrian Tampoi, Johor, is on the lookout for a dedicated and meticulous Accounting Intern. This role offers the invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting practices and financial management within a thriving industry environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Department's daily operations and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily updates of charge, billing, and collection information in Excel.
• Contribute to key administrative tasks and undertake ad-hoc assignments within the Finance Department.
• Perform data entry into the accounting system and assist in maintaining organized financial records.
• Assist in the preparation and collection of monthly financial reports.
• Help maintain journal and general ledger entries.
• Support in executing various accounting functions, including journal entries for month-end closing and reporting.
• Engage in data entries and balance sheet reconciliations under the guidance of our Accountants.
• Work under the supervision of an Accountant, applying learned accounting principles.

Role Requirements:

• Current enrolment in a Diploma program or equivalent, with a focus on Accounting or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and SQL/accounting software.
• Available for an internship duration of 3-6 months.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong team player.
• Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
