Internship Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our purchasing team as an intern. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in procurement, inventory management, and supply chain planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with sourcing and procurement activities, including researching potential vendors, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
  • Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels, conducting inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Analyze data and metrics related to supplier performance, inventory turnover, and purchasing costs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with the implementation of process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the purchasing and supply chain team department.
  • Provide general administrative support to the purchasing and planning team, including organizing documents, maintaining records, and coordinating meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Diploma or Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
