Background:
QT Environmental was established in 1991 as an expansion of QT Engineering & Consultancy, and focuses mainly on designing, building, and maintaining projects in the environmental industry.
We specializes mainly in turnkey solutions for sustainable infrastructure, including the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of wastewater and sewage treatment plants, water systems, pumping stations, and general engineering works.
Today QT has expanded into other sustainable business areas including solar energy systems and green asphalt road technology.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of project staff in project department on technical matters.
- To assist Post-contract administration which include: Attending management meeting, client/ consultant/ all sub-contractors site meeting, cost comparison exercise, variation order (VO) claim, site inspection, check on interim payment recommended and final account statement.
- To ensure work at site progressing smoothly and construct delivered by sub-contractors in accordance to drawings and are complied with specifications and standard specified.
- To coordinate with contractors, consultants, authority, project and office on technical matters.
- To assist report to Management regarding site works and quality issues.
- To liaison with authority. The related processes including attending joint inspection, seeking for approval, testing and commissioning, handing over of project and ensure site safety and site environment suitable for work.
- To assist in coordination with relevant authorities for Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC) clearance.
- To evaluate the bid price and quality on workmanship among potential sub-contractors.
- To formalize recommendations of award for Director approval.
- To assist check and verify Letter of Award (LA) to approved sub-contractors.
- Planning, co-ordination and control of site activities and management.
- Monitoring Project Construction Management and ensure construction works are complied with requirements (i.e. contractual, quality, time and cost).
- Check drawings for discrepancies between Architecture and Consultants.
- Plan ahead on construction materials ordering, equipment, tools and hiring machineries for site use.
- Monitor and ensure AI/ EI/ Non- Conformance Records are properly closed.
- To undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by the Managing Directors.
- Comply with client requirements and policies on Safety and Health and relevant Malaysian Statutory requirement those are applicable to the work, which PTT is responsible.
- Pre-plan and prepare work procedures layout in accordance to Safety and Health program requirement before the commencement of contracts, including the involvement of sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Ascertain potential hazards or processes before commencement of work and inform all site staffs accordingly.
- To ensure that all sub-contractors meet their obligations under current legislation, codes of practices, conditions of contracts and comply and follow all Safety and Health program requirements as stated in this Safety and Health Manual.
- Ensure that safe safety work is implemented and maintained by the Project Engineer/Engineers/Supervisors/Foremen and employees at the worksite.
- To coordinate with Safety and Health Manager/Officer on Safety and Health matters.
- To attend and chair Site Safety and Health Committee meetings as scheduled.
Requirements:
- Degree in a management or Engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Project Management and Construction, in similar position or related working experience
- Experienced in Contract Management
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
