Job Summary

Responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, project timeline, and safety requirements. The role includes integration of solar hybrid systems into building services (e.g., PV panels, inverters, battery systems).

Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise daily M&E site works (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, ELV systems)
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal project team
• Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Liaise with civil/structural team to avoid clashes on site

2. Solar Hybrid System Implementation

• Supervise installation of solar PV systems (panels, inverters, cabling)
• Monitor integration with:
• Grid supply (TNB)
• Battery storage systems
• Backup generators (if applicable)
• Ensure system complies with SEDA and local authority requirements
• Assist in testing & commissioning (T&C) of solar hybrid systems

3. Quality Control & Inspection

• Conduct site inspections and ensure works meet quality standards
• Verify materials delivered comply with approved specifications
• Prepare inspection checklists and ensure proper documentation
• Rectify defects and follow up on non-compliance issues

4. Progress Monitoring

• Track M&E work progress against project schedule
• Report site progress to Project Manager / Site Manager
• Identify delays and propose corrective actions

5. Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

• Coordinate and witness testing for:
• Electrical systems (LV/MV)
• HVAC systems
• Fire protection systems
• Solar hybrid system performance
• Ensure proper handover documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals)

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), and safety regulations
• Enforce site safety practices (permit to work, PPE, lockout-tagout)
• Conduct toolbox meetings for M&E workers

RequirementsEducation

• Diploma / Certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in building construction (main contractor)
• Experience in high-rise / commercial projects preferred
• Hands-on experience with solar hybrid systems / renewable energy projects

Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
