Position: Construction Manager (Offshore Oil & Gas)
Location: Teluk Gong, Klang (Selangor)
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant experience for Degree holders, or seventeen (17) years of relevant experience for Diploma holders in construction activities for offshore upstream Oil & Gas industry projects, including at least five (5) years in Construction Manager capacity.
- Proven experience in a similar capacity involving at least two (2) offshore Oil & Gas platform fabrication projects and brownfield integration works.
- Strong experience in offshore fabrication, hook-up, brownfield modification, loadout, and offshore installation activities.
- Well-versed in construction methodologies, fabrication yard operations, project execution, and site management.
- Experience in EPCC offshore projects and familiar with client requirements, construction planning, and project coordination.
- Capable to manage multidisciplinary construction teams including structural, piping, mechanical, E&I, and commissioning activities.
- Familiar with offshore construction standards, HSE requirements, QAQC requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience in tender and proposal support including constructability input, manpower planning, schedule review, and methodology preparation.
- Able to support projects from tender/proposal stage until project execution and project completion (“roll-over” to project team).
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Familiar with project scheduling, reporting, progress monitoring, and resource management.
- Willing to work based in Teluk Gong, Klang and travel offshore/site when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall construction activities for offshore Oil & Gas EPCC projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication, assembly, integration, hook-up, and offshore construction activities to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Ensure construction works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, HSE requirements, quality standards, and project schedule.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QAQC, marine, commissioning, and project teams for smooth project execution.
- Review construction sequence, work packs, construction methodology, lifting plans, and resource allocation.
- Monitor construction progress, productivity, manpower utilization, and subcontractor performance.
- Support tender and proposal activities including constructability review, execution strategy, manpower estimation, and schedule input.
- Attend project meetings, client coordination meetings, and site discussions as required.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, technical challenges, and site constraints during project execution.
- Ensure all construction deliverables and site activities are completed within approved schedule and budget.
- Lead construction team in maintaining safe working practices and strong HSE culture at fabrication yard and offshore site.
- Prepare and review construction reports, progress updates, and management presentations.
- Mentor and guide construction personnel and site supervisors to ensure effective team performance.
Salary Range
Salary range shall be commensurate with the candidate’s competency, relevant experience, capability in meeting the job requirements, and within the approved hiring budget.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
