Job Description
As a Remote Site Doctor / Offshore Doctor, you will be responsible for delivering emergency response, primary healthcare services, and clinical support at offshore or remote client sites in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures of International SOS.
You will play a key role in ensuring quality patient care, operational readiness, and compliance with Clinical Governance standards while supporting a safe and effective healthcare environment offshore.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical response, primary healthcare consultation, and treatment to patients at remote/offshore sites
- Assess, stabilize, and manage medical emergencies, including evacuation and referral coordination when required
- Maintain clinic and medical facility operational readiness, including medical equipment, medications, and consumables
- Ensure accurate medical documentation, reporting, and patient records management
- Operate and maintain medical equipment within observation, resuscitation, and examination rooms
- Participate in emergency drills, audits, incident reporting, competency assessments, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support compliance with International SOS Clinical Governance standards, policies, and procedures
- Deliver professional, empathetic, and high-quality patient care while maintaining confidentiality and integrity
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective clinical operations offshore
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery or equivalent
- Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC 2026)
- Valid medical license to practice (MMC)
- Current certifications such as BLS, ACLS, ITLS, or equivalent emergency care certifications
- Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, H2S, HACCP, TENORM, Noise Awareness, and Chemical Awareness are highly advantageous
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Hospital Emergency Care and/or Intensive Care settings and/or Occupational Health settings
- Experience in offshore, remote site, emergency, or critical care environments is an added advantage
- Strong exposure in GP and ER practice
Skills & Competencies
- Strong emergency response and resuscitation skills, including CPR and ventilator management
- Good knowledge of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, and travel-related illnesses
- Familiar with immunization recommendations for travelers and infectious disease management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork, professionalism, and customer service orientation
- Positive, proactive, and patient-focused attitude
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet applications
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Good attendance, punctuality, and commitment to patient care

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
