- Patient Registration: Greeting patients, collecting personal and insurance information, updating medical records.
- Appointment Scheduling: Booking, rescheduling, and managing patient appointments.
- Record Keeping: Filing and retrieving medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Billing and Insurance: Processing payments, assisting with insurance claims, and handling billing inquiries.
- Inventory Management: Ordering and stocking medical supplies and office materials
- Preparing Patients: Helping patients get ready for exams, taking basic medical histories.
- Vital Signs: Measuring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight (if trained and authorized).
- Assisting Practitioners: Handing instruments, helping during minor procedures, or preparing exam rooms.
- Specimen Collection: Collecting samples like urine or swabs for lab testing (where permitted).
- Customer Service: Addressing questions and concerns, providing directions or instructions for follow-up care.
