F&B Operations Internship Responsibilities:

Restaurant Operations:

  • Assist in setting up and preparing the restaurant for service, including arranging tables and chairs, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Take guest orders, serve food and beverages, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Learn and follow standard operating procedures for taking reservations and managing waitlists.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery to guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Food and Beverage Knowledge:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the hotel's food and beverage offerings, including menus, ingredients, and pricing.
  • Familiarize yourself with wine and beverage selections and assist guests with recommendations.

Cleanliness and Safety:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including dining areas and service stations.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Assist in the handling and storage of food and beverage items in compliance with health regulations.

Training and Development:

  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of the hotel's policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Seek opportunities for professional growth and actively engage in learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a hospitality or related degree program.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
