Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Audio Visual Onsite Engineer to provide onsite technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for enterprise AV environments. This role will focus on meeting room collaboration systems, studio AV equipment, and control room operations, ensuring all audio visual systems are functioning optimally to support daily business operations.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with video conferencing systems, AV signal flow, camera systems, audio DSPs, control systems, and studio/control room equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Meeting Room Collaboration Support
-Provide onsite support for meeting room collaboration devices, including:
-Microsoft Teams Rooms
-Cisco Webex Room Systems
-Wireless presentation systems
-Troubleshoot issues related to:
-Cameras
-Microphones
-Speakers
-Touch panels
-Room schedulers
-Perform regular testing and health checks to ensure meeting rooms are operational and user-ready
-Support end users during important meetings and executive sessions
Studio & Control Room Support
-Operate and support studio AV equipment, including:
-PTZ cameras
-Video switchers
-Audio mixers
-Capture devices
-Streaming encoders
-Assist in setup and troubleshooting of control room environments
-Monitor audio and video signal routing
-Support live production environments, including camera feeds, audio feeds, and switching workflows
Audio & Video Systems Maintenance
-Troubleshoot and maintain:
-Audio DSP systems
-Amplifiers
-Wireless microphones
-Video matrix switchers
-AV-over-IP systems
-Perform firmware updates, preventive maintenance, and routine system inspections
-Diagnose and resolve AV hardware and software faults
Control System Support
-Support AV control systems such as:
-Crestron
-Extron
-Q-SYS
-Troubleshoot touch panel issues and control system operation
-Coordinate with programmers/integrators for advanced control issues
User Support & Incident Management
-Provide onsite and remote technical support for AV incidents
-Log, track, and resolve incidents based on SLA requirements
-Escalate unresolved technical issues to higher-level support teams or vendors
-Provide technical guidance to users on AV equipment operation
Documentation & Reporting
-Maintain records of:
-AV incidents
-Maintenance activities
-Equipment inventory
-Prepare incident reports and service reports
-Recommend improvements to enhance AV system reliability and user experience
Required Qualifications:
-Diploma certificate.
-2 to 5 years of experience in AV support or AV engineering
-Hands-on experience with:
-Microsoft Teams Rooms / Zoom Rooms / Cisco collaboration devices
-PTZ cameras and video switchers
-Audio DSPs and mixers
-AV control systems
-Basic knowledge of:
-Audio signal flow
-Video signal flow
-Networking for AV devices
-Good troubleshooting and communication skills
-Able to provide onsite support in corporate environments
