Position Summary

The Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, counselling, and mental health support to students and staff within the university community. The role also includes contributing to mental health promotion, supporting crisis management, and participating in training and development activities for students, staff, and trainees.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

• Provide individual and group counselling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct psychological assessments and prepare relevant reports when required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and documentation.

Crisis & Risk Management

• Assist in responding to mental health emergencies on campus.
• Provide risk assessment and safety planning for students in distress.
• Collaborate with relevant departments during crisis situations.

Psychoeducation & Well-Being Programs

• Develop and deliver workshops, talks, and mental health awareness programs for students and staff.
• Support university-wide mental health campaigns and well-being initiatives.

Consultation & Collaboration

• Work with academic staff, student affairs, and other university units to support student well-being.
• Provide guidance and consultation on psychological concerns affecting students.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions when appropriate.

Training & Supervision

• Assist in providing supervision or training for interns or trainees.
• Contribute to skill-building programs for university staff on topics related to mental health.

Administrative & Professional Duties

• Support the daily operations of the counselling/psychological services centre.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, university policies, and confidentiality requirements.
• Engage in professional development, case conferences, and relevant committees as assigned.

Requirements:

· Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognised institution.

· Registered with Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC)

· 1-3 years of experience.

· Training and experience in psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis-management skills.
Experience working with adolescents or young adults is an advantage.

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
