Join our team as an Account Executive, reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping our financial processes while leading a dedicated accounting team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and mentor Account Officers focused on Accounts Payable (AP) and inventory management, ensuring excellence in financial reporting and compliance.
- Financial Closing: Manage monthly and quarterly period-end closing processes, including accrual accounting and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate corporate and statutory compliance reporting.
- Tax Support: Assist in Malaysian tax compliance for Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), and collaborate with external auditors as required.
- Accounting Operations: Prepare and post accounting journals, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct fluctuation analysis.
- Problem Solving: Act as a trusted advisor on accounting processes for operational departments, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Transaction Oversight: Coordinate accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and monitor inventory accounting practices, collaborating with operations to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Experience: 5 years in general and/or financial accounting, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
- Proven capability to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount Accounting System) and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations to peers and management.
