Join our Malaysia team as a Senior Data Engineer to build a scalable, reliable data foundation.

In this role, you will design, develop and operate data pipelines for app tracking data, process and integrate raw data from Google Analytics and support analytics enablement across business and technical teams. You will work hands-on with SQL, Python, Google Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery and modern data pipeline practices to ensure reliable, high-quality data is available for reporting, analysis and KPI measurement.

You will also collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, analytics teams and engineering teams to consult on KPI definitions, translate business requirements into technical solutions, improve data quality and proactively identify opportunities to optimize data workloads and analytics processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable data pipelines for app tracking data, event-based analytics and application measurement use cases
• Process, transform and integrate raw data from Google Analytics into BigQuery, data lakes and other analytics platforms
• Build and maintain SQL queries, Python scripts, data workflows and pipeline components to support analytics, reporting and data processing requirements
• Provide consultation on KPI definitions, measurement frameworks, tracking logic and analytics data structures
• Collaborate with business, product, analytics and engineering teams to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Monitor data pipelines, data quality, data freshness, workload performance and reliability across app analytics environments
• Support API integrations, data ingestion processes, automation activities and improvements to data pipeline operations
• Ensure data solutions follow data governance, security, audit, data quality and operational best practices while identifying optimization opportunities

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics enablement and building or operating data pipelines or data lakes
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing, transformation, analysis, automation and troubleshooting
• Strong experience with Google Analytics, including the ability to process, interpret and integrate app tracking or event-based analytics data
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery, for data storage, querying, processing and analytics workloads
• Strong understanding of event-based data architectures, data ingestion patterns, API integrations and analytics data modeling concepts
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, validation checks, monitoring and production data reliability practices
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, KPI definitions, tracking logic and analytics-ready datasets
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive problem-solving and effective cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau or Looker
• Knowledge of mobile app ecosystems (iOS and Android) and application analytics concepts
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
