Sepenuh Masa Laundry Assistant Jobs, salary up to MYR 2,900 in Kozi Square Kuching - Maukerja

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting & Processing: Sort all incoming soiled linen, towels, and uniforms by fabric type, color, and degree of staining.
• Washing & Drying: Operate industrial washers and dryers according to specific load capacities and chemical settings.
• Ironing & Folding: Ensure all linens are neatly pressed (using flatwork ironers or hand irons) and folded according to hotel standards.
• Quality Control: Inspect items for tears, permanent stains, or wear and tear; separate items that require repair or replacement.
• Chemical Management: Safely handle and dispense laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals as instructed.
• Inventory & Distribution: Count and record linen stock; assist in delivering clean laundry to housekeeping closets or guest rooms.
• Equipment Care: Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and perform basic cleaning of lint filters and equipment daily.

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience in a hotel laundry or commercial laundromat is an advantage, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy laundry bags/baskets (up to 15-20kg), and work in a warm environment.
• Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for cleanliness and the ability to spot small stains or damages.
• Reliability: Punctual and committed to meeting daily production deadlines.
• Communication: Basic understanding of English and Bahasa Malaysia to follow instructions and safety labels.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Education Level: Minimum SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) or equivalent. Candidates with a Lower Secondary Education (PMR/PT3) and significant relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience: Previous experience in a commercial laundry, hospital, or hotel environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Training: We provide comprehensive on-the-job training regarding industrial machine operation and chemical safety.

Skills & Qualifications

• Language: Basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to understand simple English instructions or safety labels is a plus.
• Technical: Ability to follow strict standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for different fabric types.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
